Open Question: If I buy THIS rifle, and THIS base, what else would I need to buy, to mount a Weaver K3 one inch scope?

I am not mechanically inclined. I have a young person I am teaching/training for deer hunting. He will be using a Winchester .30-30 with an offset K3 Weaver scope. My father was in love with Weaver K3 scopes and after he died he left an extra one in his hunting gear. So should I buy low, medium, or high rings?

I learned a while ago that you could get a hunting license on line. This means in terms of scheduling, that this 13 year old boy I am teaching to shoot could get a hunting license, in time for me to send in his application to hunt in the Angeles National Forest where I hunt. I took the boy out to the range, and we selected the gun he is going to use. Where I hunt, the shots are from 50 to 80 yards. Against my advice, the boy fired my rifles, and decided he wants to use a five and a half pound Winchester 92 clone (Rossi Puma, made in Brazil) chambered in .44-40. I suppose because of the mild/non existant recoil, and he is used to the open sights, because he has been firing my .22 open sight rifles. So, all I need to do is order some .44-40 ammunition on line (you can't buy it in stores here in Los Angeles) and take the boy shooting once or twice a month, and we will be set. Opening day, we pack for an overnight stay, so we will be in position when the season opens. Prior to this time, the Grandmother never expressed the slightest interest in hunting. The boy's parents were unfit, and the boy is raised by a Grandmother who loves him, and a long suffering Step Grandfather who never wanted children. So I have become a male role model for the boy. Anyway, suddenly, the Grandmother states that she wants to go hunting with us when we go. Huh? Umm. Ok. I guess she will have her choice of my Sears Model 53 (Actually a Winchester 70) in .243 with a four power scope , or my Sears Ted Williams Model 100 (actually a Winchester model 94) in .30-30 with a three power scope. The .30-30 kicks like a mule. And even though Grandma is still in pretty good shape for a woman her age (amazingly, she still has a figure, and at the Italian restaurant she manages/waitresses, it is funny to watch all the guys over 40 flirt with her) I doubt that she could take the wallop of a .30-30 in a six pound rifle. So I guess, I will need to order some .44-40, some .243 by internet, and then all three of us will be going monthly to the range, and then all three of us will be staying overnight to be in position for the beginning of deer season. I guess I have enough backpacking gear for all three of us. I don't think three people can fit in my tent, so I wil have to pack in two tents. There is frequently snow on the ground at that time. The Forest has a ten thousand foot peak, and we will be hunting at about 4,000 feet in the beginning of Winter. I don't want to ask Grandma to carry a pack, and I don't want the boy to have to carry more than 20 pounds over his rifle and winter clothing. This makes things decidedly awkward, because I am a very small man (118 pounds, five foot four) who will have to basically carry overnight stuff for three people.I am very fit (soccer league, gym, running, yoga) but the terrain is uneven, and I don't want to turn an ankle or fall far from the road. If they can both carry their own sleeping bag, toilet articles, sleeping pad, and long johns, I will be ok. But as I said, this is going to make things much more awkward. And probably, only the boy will be getting a deer. Because I will let him shoot first. So why the sudden change of heart on the part of Grandma do you suppose? It makes absolutely no sense to me.
