Open Question: What is a good first bike?
I went to the Suzuki dealership in Benton Ar and talked to a salesman that told me that a Hyabusa is a good all around bike. I am 22 years old and have never ridden on a motorcycle though I am pretty good on my mountain bike so I am fairly certain that it won't be too hard to learn.
I was originally going to get a smaller bike to learn on but after talking to my buddies and seeing how much aftermarket parts there are for the Hayabusa I don't see how I could go wrong. If I do get bored with the power there are superchargers and all kinds of things out there to make it a little faster, not so with other bikes.
I know that a Ninja 250 is a girls bike and I am not a stupid teenager with a death wish. I am 22 years old and in the Army so I have more responsibility than most people in their 30s.
Is the Hayabusa a good handling bike or is it more of a drag bike? I want something sporty that I can take on long rides to Dallas Tx on the weekends and not be sore when I get there.
P.S. I drive a 2005 Mustang GT that has way more horsepower than any bike so power is not an issue with me. I can handle it. I just want a comfortable sport bike with good looks.
Don't get mad just because you can't afford the biggest baddest motorcycle. They are not that expensive and cost just as much as the cheaper smaller bikes to fix.
Is the ZX14 better for long rides?

Resolved Question: Is The USA Too Regulated?
I cant help but feel things have sort of spiraled out of control all over this nation. I don't like the state telling me what I should eat, what I can or cannot put in my body, where I travel, what or I can or cannot hunt (for food, not sport), who i can marry, and what crops I can grow. It's illegal to be a mountain man? This would hardly be the nation our founders envisioned, nor do I think they intended for people to become career politicians, the way they are today. The US government controls every aspect of my life. I feel like a bug under a boot.
I understand that we have all these wonderful roads, cities, jobs, and all that, but what if I don't want it. I never chose to be born, I simply am here. Why should I be subject to asinine laws and regulations that are in place "for my safety". I cant even build a dividing wall w/o say so from the city. I am an adult. I can be safe, and if im not, and I get hurt, it's my own damn fault.
I have no political association by the way, don't label me.

Voting Question: PITT vs UTAH Thurs night. Where is the ESPN pregame coverage?
I know the game is being broadcast on Versus but it is the best game of the night
I am not asking for them to send erin andrews and her nose to cover the game but at least send Ed Werder or Wendy Nix.. but i'm not even seeing the game on the espn bottom line ticker
Both the Big East and Mountain West Conf battling for respect and both teams are potential BCS Bowl level talent. Both are preseason top 25 teams Dion Lewis from Pitt is a legit heisman contender and one of the 5 best running backs in the nation
But neither team is a great ratings machine like a notre dame ( who gets headline status despite being irrelevent for the last 20 years) if you only watch ESPN TV or radio you barely hear the game even mentioned.
ESPN pretends it is newsworthy sports reporting but is this not a big example of how ESPN's desire for ratings has compromised their integrity?
ESPN has the power to control the polls by what teams they show in highlights and how they can push or hype one team over another.

Voting Question: Me and my boyfriend are looking to go away in May 2010.?
We want to go abroad, we were thinking Tenerife, Portugal, Canaries etc, but are getting confused where to go now! We would like to do things through the day like quad biking, water sports, walking near mountains and other fun things, as well as some sunbathing round the pool and on nice beaches. We want a good night life, but not neccessarily banging loud clubs all over, maybe just a couple and good bars to drink and dance and have fun in. We want to go all inclusive, and preferably want to stay in an apartment rather than a hotel!! Any ideas, tips, suggestions and advice would be great. Cheers people :-) xx
ooops, May 2011, ha ha. answers to that date then pls, lol :-)
