Open Question: How can I get more lift on my iron shots?

I'm a very amateur golfer. I only go out two or three times a year, if that. Actually, before this year it had been two or three years since I picked up a club. So naturally, when I got back into it, I was a little rusty. I was never really all that good to begin with, so regressing just made it embarrassing, even though my golf partner hadn't been out in years either. Basically, I can hit a tee shot decently and I can putt pretty well, but I'm having troubles with my iron shots. I just can't get any height on them. What kinds of things can I do to avoid this and get more height, and therefore better distance, on my iron shots?

Open Question: Golf-a few likely flaws from..?

ball striking has been very poor-Irons fat,Driver pull/slice. But why on the 1-2 holes when I line up 30-40 deg the right(away from water on a long hole), I hit flush 90%-some 300 yds or more. ? I am not consciously swinging different.

Open Question: What can I do to improve my Golf Game?

The past three weeks my golf game has completely gone south. I am a 18.9 handicap and every single part of my game has just completely gone downhill. My swing speed is: Around 80 MPH and I used to have a draw with my driver. Now I keep pushing it right of the fairway! My set consists on this: Driver: TaylorMade Tour Burner Fairway Wood: Adams Ovation 5 wood Hybrid: Nickent 3 & 4 hybrid Irons: Nickent 4DX Combo Irons Putter: Founders Club Any thoughts on a different Driver or how to get my draw back? Thanks very much :)

Resolved Question: How's my bag? Is an upgrade needed?

I'm a fifteen year old male who is attempting to make the golf team in a very competitive high school. I play 3 to 5 times a week and shoot low 80's to high 70's. I was wondering if my bags okay to compete in high school golf or if I need to upgrade to have an edge during tryouts. Tell me what you think and if you have any tips: Burner '09 Driver and 3 wood (245 and 220 yards respectively) Ben Hogan 3 hybrid (old, around 200 yards) Nike Ignite Irons 4 through PW (105-185 yards) half an inch to a full inch too short Cleveland 56* SW (Very old, worn out grooves 75 yards) Snake Eyes 60* LW (New, 55 yards, great around the greens) Scotty Cameron Putter (Old, bought off of craigslist) How's it look? Any advice helps, thanks. Tryouts are in about 3 weeks. Got new grips about a month ago...I added some tape underneath (a pro helped me out) for better feel

Open Question: Advice On A Shiny New Set Of Irons!?

I'm 13 and started out at golf six months ago with 4,6,8 and PW that cost me £30!! i've improved slightly since then and enjoy golf every time i play. I'm definitely going to continue playing so i want some better irons (not to mention a full set). At a local shop Nike Ignite 3-SW have been reduced from £300 to £200 Bargain! They look great clubs but i was wondering if anyone has played them, are they good or should i look elsewhere.. Cheers :)

Open Question: Which golf driver should i get and do they make shafts for smaller people?

I am a 16 year old boy and only 5"1 tall and i am trying to find the best driver and irons possible. I tried the callaway diablo edge and didnt really like it that much, as the back swing seemed pretty heavy. You'd probably think this is because i am a smaller guy, but my brother who is 5"11 has the ping g10, and i can hit it beautifuly at a constant rate with the normal shaft and a 10 degree loft. I am lookign at trying the Taylormade 09 burner and r9 460 driver, and the ping g15 (as i like the g10 but dont want to copy bro) My question is, first qhich one do you think would be the best suited to me out of these 3, or another driver that you think would suit me best, and if there is one that would suit me well, and if so is there anyway to get a smalelr shaft for me or would they be fine, cause liek i said i can hit the ping g10 great. Also is the taylormade superfast a good choice or no (it is a longer shaft then normal so i thought it would be to logn for a small guy like me) Also what would be the best irons to go with the driver (as i want ti have the same type driver as irons) and dont suggest juniors cause they are to small for me.

Open Question: Junior Golf distance short and iron help?

I am 12 year old golfer and I was wondering if these distances were good for my age. I also cant seem to hit my irons so if you have any tips for that tell me. I have 3 lesson left so I can pick what ever I want to work on. My teacher told me I need to keep my head still and I need to be aligned more to the target. Here are my stats on My range with my clubs and my average score. Driver 130 yards Hybrid 90 yards 5 iron 75 yards 7 iron 60 yards 9 iron 40 - 50 yards sand wedge 25 yards ( I nearly hit it straight up ) I am 12 years old and I weigh 60 pounds. I average a 55 on 9 holes red tees. Im also pretty short.
