hi i just bought a gold set but i there no wedger so can i use the iron P to chip shot with it ? and also in the box it said there 18 items , but when i open there only thirdteen i notice there no iron 6? did i get rip off ?? i bout it from golf galaxy. also which one is wood? thank you

Open Question: question on used golf clubs/bag -?

I know this is kind of a wierd question but I need to ask it - a good friend offered to give me a nice set of irons & woods that belonged to his parents - its a very old set, a mixture of Wilson woods and Lynx irons and Ping putter. I am just a beginner golfer,so I did not want to invest in a set of expensive clubs yet til I see how much I get into the game. My question is (funny as it sounds) about the bag - its very old and its a black, red & green scottish type checkerboard plaid design on the material - not bad looking just very old of course - I am a guy, so I did not know if this bag would look completely stupid for a man to take out on the course (its just a local hackers course near my house) - I know I can get a new solid black or blue bag for 30-50 bucks - but I wanted to ask you golfers out there if I would be considered a whack-job if I went out there with this old plaid red/black/green crispin-plaid bag ?? Thanks for your advice, I don't want to get laughed off the fairway at the start of my mediocre career in golf.

Open Question: i need help with my golf game-irons?

the problem i have is with my irons, its seems like every two weeks or so ill start massively slicing my irons, i know its something mental but obviously its something physical im doing, this really pisses me off because when i can hit my irons(which is about 2 weeks every 2 weeks) i shoot low 40s, but when i cant hit them i shoot 50s,ouch, so im wondering if anyone knows a solution or way to help, thanks, and just for info its only my irons, not my driver, woods or hybrids, just irons

Open Question: Looking for good beginner golf clubs?

story: I'm 16 years old and have been playing golf on and off for a total of about 6 months? my clubs were a gift from my uncle (who plays golf) when i first enrolled in a golf program. 6 months later i am planning on trying out for the golf team and feel the need to expand my club set (which currently consists of a 3 wood, a 5 iron, 9 iron, and a putter) My requests: i need a good cheap (preferably) brand of clubs for a driver, and maybe a wedge, and more irons. which clubs would you suggest and how do i know what height to get? keep in mind i'm 16 years old and on a budget. thankyou!
