Open Question: Why do poor kids play soccer?

Where I live, all of the poor kids and illegal immigrants play soccer. Me and my friends drive by them and laugh at them since they don't have a car and can't afford the equipment for other sports so they have no choice but to play soccer. Also, they can't even speak English. If you go to another country,at least learn the language. I'm too rich for soccer. My dad makes over $1 million a year so I play other sports. I have a private tennis teacher and my dad even paid for my friends to have tennis lessons. Why do only the poor kids and illegal immigrants play soccer where I live?
